Modern Pop Drum Sequencing 101
1)Put a kick on every quarter note and snares on beats 2 & 4
2)Add hihats on the eighth or sixteenth beats, but skip beats 1 & 3
3)Start
recording the loop and go get a coffee. The distance to a Tim Horton's
and back from anywhere in Canada should be the proper length of a pop
song.
4)A
minute and a half from the end will be the bridge, randomly remove half
the snares and a quarter of the kicks from this section.
5)Add
the rest of the music and some vocals. Vocals should be about you
thinking someone's beautiful. To make even more money make it about
thinking someone's beautiful who doesn't think they are, that way ugly
people will like it too.
